The all-new Lexus RZ

The all-new RZ delivers seamless, smooth and powerful all-electric performance combined with Lexus's hallmark craftsmanship quality and an unmatched array of safety and driver assistance features.

Earning the model a top five-star rating in independent Euro NCAP testing.

The RZ gets a 71.4kWh battery pack and a dual-motor setup on all versions with 313hp on tap. Depending on the wheel size you choose, you can get up to 272 miles on a single charge, with efficiency figures on 3.5mi/kWh. Lexus is known for making relaxing and comfortable vehicles and the RZ is no different, there is limited tyre and wind noise. The dual motors develop 313hp.​

The RZ has light steering for easy manoeuvring and comfortable suspension rounding off the edges of humps and potholes, you also get a reversing camera, while mid-and top-spec and top-spec models get all-round camera view to help you know what's around you.

The whole interior has a luxurious feel. The air-con controls are subtly illuminated colour fade, inside black, textured knobs, making adjustment simple. They match the texture of the chrome drive selector, and at night, the insides of the doors light up with a subtle display that appears to mimic the pattern.

The cabin is of a high quality, with faux leather, faux suede and black plastics, while silver trim pieces help outline the dashboard and centre console.

The seats are comfortable, supportive and electrically adjustable. Plus the panoramic roof of the Takumi makes it feel even more spacious. In the Premium Plus pack and Takumi, Lexus have fitted small infrared heaters. These radiate heat to your legs and those of the front passenger to make you feel as though you have warm blankets on your knees, and they use just 170W. The rear seats are also heated with ventilation controls and USB-C charge points and so is the steering wheel.

The RZ is now offered with mono- and bi-tone exterior paint designs, and the colour palette adds copper crest.

The 5-Star independent Euro NCAP is due to all the many safety features, including automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, a driver attention monitor and a system that warns you of approaching vehicles when you're reversing out onto a road.
