The UK Electric Car Grant is a government incentive that provides a discount on eligible brand-new EVs, including PV5 Passenger 5-Seat. Rather than claiming money back later, the grant is applied directly to the vehicle's purchase price at the point of sale.
The grant is available in two bands: £1,500 or £3,750.
It is applied automatically when you purchase a qualifying vehicle.
Customers do not need to apply.
The scheme supports the adoption of EVs across the UK by helping to reduce the upfront cost for private buyers, businesses, and leasing customers.
To qualify for the UK Electric Car Grant, vehicles must meet all government requirements:
- Be a new M1 passenger vehicle
- Produce zero tailpipe CO₂ emissions
- Minimum battery range of 100 miles (WLTP)
- Be covered by a three-year or 60,000-mile warranty
- Be powered by a battery with an 8-year or 100,000-mile warranty
- Meet UK Government sustainability and safety standards
- Have a recommended retail price (RRP) of £37,000 or less to meet the Government’s Electric Car Grant price cap
