XPENG has unveiled the all-new XPENG LO3, a next-generation AI SUV coupé that is expected to arrive in the UK from 2027.

The vehicle made its global debut at XPENG’s Brand Day and New Product Launch event in Munich on 16 July 2026. It was the first XPENG model to be introduced simultaneously across 65 markets, marking another significant step in the manufacturer’s international growth.

UK pricing and final specifications will be confirmed closer to launch. Drivers in Swindon can contact the team at Fish Brothers XPENG to register their interest and receive future updates.

Distinctive SUV Coupé Design

Described as a next-generation AI SUV coupé, the XPENG LO3 combines supercar-inspired styling with a premium interior, everyday practicality and intelligent technology.

Developed under the direction of XPENG’s Chief Exterior Designer, JuanMa Lopez, the LO3 follows the brand’s “Vital Flow” design philosophy. Its exterior features a wide stance, flowing coupé proportions, a fastback silhouette and frameless doors.

Careful aerodynamic development has also helped the LO3 achieve a drag coefficient of just 0.228, supporting both efficiency and performance.

A Spacious and Technology-Focused Interior

Inside, the XPENG LO3 has been designed to offer a comfortable and connected driving experience.

Cabin highlights include:

  • A 15.6-inch central touchscreen
  • A wide head-up display
  • Customisable ambient lighting
  • Intelligent climate control
  • Lounge-style seating
  • Up to 37 interior storage areas

The LO3 also offers generous luggage capacity and a towing capability of up to 1,500kg, making it suitable for daily journeys, longer trips and family adventures.

XPENG’s vehicle-to-load technology will allow the car to provide power to compatible external electrical equipment, adding further versatility for outdoor activities and travel.

Electric and Range-Extended Powertrains

The XPENG LO3 has been designed to meet a variety of driving requirements and will be offered as a fully electric vehicle and as an LO3 Power X range-extended electric vehicle.

The Power X model uses XPENG’s Kunpeng Range Extender Technology, providing additional flexibility for drivers who regularly complete longer journeys.

Further information about UK battery options, driving ranges and charging speeds will be announced closer to the vehicle’s arrival.

Next-Generation Intelligent Driving Technology

At the heart of the LO3 is XPENG’s latest Next Generation Pilot system, known as NGP VLA 2.0.

The technology is based on XPENG’s physical-world foundation model and is designed to understand and respond to complex real-world driving situations. Rather than relying only on individual assistance features, the system aims to provide a more natural and human-like intelligent driving experience.

XPENG plans to begin introducing the technology across Europe from 2027.

The LO3 will also feature three Turing AI chips, providing up to 2,250 TOPS of computing power to support the vehicle’s advanced assistance and intelligent cockpit systems.

A More Natural AI-Powered Cockpit

The LO3 will introduce the international version of XPENG’s New Global Intelligent Cockpit Experience, powered by the latest XOS 6 operating system.

A new AI voice assistant has been developed to support natural conversations, understand context and communicate in multiple languages.

Instead of responding only to fixed voice commands, the system has been designed to interpret what occupants are trying to achieve and adjust compatible vehicle functions accordingly. Additional capabilities will be introduced through future over-the-air software updates.

Built-In Google Maps Technology

XPENG has also announced a partnership with Google Maps for vehicles sold outside China.

The LO3 will use technology from the Google Maps Auto Software Development Kit within XPENG’s own navigation system. This means drivers will be able to access familiar Google Maps information and services without needing to download a separate application or mirror a smartphone.

Google Maps vehicle data will also support XPENG’s advanced driver-assistance technologies, including NGP VLA 2.0 and XPILOT Assist.

Developed With European Drivers in Mind

The LO3 forms part of XPENG’s “In Europe, For Europe” strategy, combining the company’s global technology with features developed specifically for European customers.

More than 60,000 households across Europe have already chosen an XPENG vehicle. The company continues to invest in European research and development, charging infrastructure and local partnerships.

XPENG’s research and development facility in Munich is helping the manufacturer create technology that reflects European driving conditions, customer expectations and regulations.
