Easy charging with All-New Prius Plug-in
Plugging in couldn’t be easier, whether you’re at home or on the road.
1. Home charging
Most people choose to charge their Plug-in Hybrid at home for cost efficiency and ease. Using a dedicated home charger is the fastest way to charge, reaching a full charge in around 2.5 hours^. You can also plug into a domestic socket (3-pin plug) which is a slower way to charge, but convenient, particularly when charging overnight.
2. Public charging
When you are planning a longer journey, if you want to top up your battery on route, this is made easy with the growing number of public fast chargers. You can find these in public carparks and service stations.
3 Travelling in hybrid mode
If your battery runs low on charge, you can rest assured, as long as your car is fuelled, the Prius Plug-in will automatically switch to hybrid mode, travelling on a combination of petrol and electric power, and electric power only.
