Nissan Qashqai Wins Best Small Tow Car at the 2026 Practical Caravan Awards

Looking for a family SUV that can take your caravan on holiday? The Nissan Qashqai has been named Best Small Tow Car (under 1500kg) at the 2026 Practical Caravan Awards.

The award recognises the Qashqai DiG-T MHEV 158 N-Connecta, which impressed judges as both a capable tow car and a practical SUV for everyday family life.

Ready for the journey and the everyday

Practical Caravan praised the Qashqai for the combination of stability, security and style that caravanners look for when heading away. Judges also highlighted its appeal when the caravan is unhitched, calling it an excellent all-round family SUV.

It’s the latest recognition for the Qashqai. In 2025, the model was the UK’s third best-selling new car, with 41,141 registrations. The Qashqai with new e-POWER was also named Hybrid Car of the Year at the News UK Motor Awards.
