The Nissan Interstar has been named Large Van of the Year at the prestigious What Van? Awards 2026, and it’s exciting news for the team at Fish Brothers Nissan, where the award-winning van is now available.
Judges praised the Interstar for its practicality, comfort and refinement, recognising it as a standout in the light commercial vehicle sector. As the largest of Nissan’s three light commercial vehicles in the UK, the Interstar is available with both diesel and fully electric powertrains, giving businesses greater flexibility when choosing their next van.
Having launched in the UK last year, the Interstar has already proven its credentials, recently earning a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating. Designed to suit a wide range of industries, it can also be configured with a variety of factory conversions including dropside, tipper, Luton and Low Luton bodies.
For businesses looking to go electric, Nissan’s first large electric van offers a driving range of up to 285 miles, ideal for urban operations. Meanwhile, the diesel model combines strong efficiency with a choice of nine-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission.
The Interstar is available in three lengths and three heights, with payloads of up to 1.6 tonnes (electric) and 1.9 tonnes (diesel) and a maximum load volume of 14.8 cubic metres, making it a highly capable partner for businesses of all sizes.
