Supporting The Nelson Trust

The Nelson Trust have been working successfully for over 38 years with vulnerable people who have multiple and complex needs including, addiction, trauma and offending. They are an award-winning charity that bring belief, hope and long-term recovery to lives impacted and also providing community support to women throughout the South West. The Nelson Trust span across Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Bristol and Wales.

Throughout the week the Women’s Centres offer a timetable of activities, including educational courses, workshops, drop ins and groups, which cover well-being, life skills and creative activity. The Nelson Trust Women Centres also have a wide range of facilities which are all available for their clients to utilise.

Each client of Nelson Trust has their own Keyworker who will work with them to create a support plan to address their needs. This is achieved through one-to-one sessions, group work and access to specialist service.

Nelson Trust has 4 dedicated Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Centre’s which can host up to forty-four people at one time. These were created to support with substance misuse. The programmes success in helping their clients recover from alcohol abuse and substance misuse has provided it with a national reputation for excellence and innovation. Each client has their own tailored personal timetable of treatment, including 1:1 sessions, educative sessions and group work.

Not only do these Rehabilitation Centre provide emotional and physical safety, they also provide special therapeutic programs which include, counselling, Psycho-educational groups, volunteering opportunities, art therapy, yoga and acupuncture and wellness walks.

We will be fundraising for the Nelson Trust throughout the year​
