Fish Brothers Celebrates the Retirement of Trade Parts Driver Jane Styles After Over 30 Years of Dedicated Service
Fish Brothers is marking the end of an era as we say a fond farewell to one of our longest-serving and most recognisable team members, Jane Styles, who retires on the 30th January 2026 after over three decades as a Trade Parts delivery driver.
Jane first joined the company over 30 years ago, in June 1995, thanks to a well-timed introduction through a family connection in the Peugeot Parts department. After a memorable interview with Peter Englefield, she was offered the job on the spot, and unknowingly began a journey that would see her become a much-loved part of Fish Brothers’ history.
A career built on people
Speak to Jane for just a few moments and one thing becomes clear, what she’s valued most throughout her career is people. She has watched younger colleagues grow and find their feet, built strong relationships with customers across the region, and brought warmth and humour to every route she drove.
From Baileys and Motofix to Lower Stratton Service Station, Imperial Tyres, Auto Electrics and countless more, Jane became the friendly face people looked forward to seeing each day. Many repaid that warmth in full, including a customer who celebrated her 50th birthday by hanging huge banners outside their business.
“It’s always been about the people for me,” Jane says. “I’ll miss the daily chats with customers and the laughter with the team… though I won’t miss loading the van in the rain and trying to keep the paperwork dry!”
A front-row seat to change
Jane has witnessed huge transformation over the years. The Trade Parts fleet grew from four vans to seven, technology became central to the operation, and the business expanded significantly.
But through every change, Jane remained a constant, dependable, dedicated and always ready with a smile. Remarkably, she retires without ever receiving a disciplinary or even a speeding ticket, an achievement she’s quietly proud of.
Words from Group Trade Parts Representative, Stuart Headon
“Jane has been fantastic. She’s been here since the day I joined Parts, and when I moved into overseeing Group Parts and the vans, she really became my right-hand lady.
Her support, her reliability and her brilliant sense of humour have made a huge difference. We’ll all miss her enormously, and we’re grateful she stayed on an extra month to help with the transition.”
Looking forward to a well-earned retirement
Jane is already planning a busy next chapter, including redesigning the garden, travelling around the UK with her husband Andy, York and Scotland at the top of the list, and enjoying the freedom to explore new places at her own pace.
As she begins her retirement, everyone at Fish Brothers extends their heartfelt thanks for Jane’s loyalty, kindness and unwavering dedication. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter and outstanding customer service that will be remembered for many years to come.
Thank you, Jane, and happy retirement.
